APPLICATION CLOSED!

GENERAL INFORMATION

We are pleased to see in recent years that it has become more and more common for young composers to conduct their own pieces. In order to do so, they need to acquire conducting and rehearsal techniques. Peter Eötvös, conductor and composer is leading by example and supporting these tendencies for several years now.

This Autumn by the invitation of CAFe Budapest Krystof Penderecki will come to Budapest and he will conduct his own composition. Penderecki as well as Eötvös became world-known as a composer-conductor. Linked to his guest performance in Budapest Peter Eötvös Contemporary Music Foundation organizes an open public meeting with him as well as a workshop for composers who will conduct their pieces themselves.
