The new masterclasses for 2023 are already online and the applications are open.


For the very first time Finnish composer Magnus Lindberg will teach young conductors and composers in Budapest with Peter Eötvös and Gregory Vajda.


The upcoming mentoring concert of the foundation will feature a new cello concerto by Leonardo Marino written for Ditta Rohmann.

The Peter Eötvös Contemporary Music Foundation is announcing a mentoring program for young professional conductors and composers for the calendar year 2023.


Our mentee composers of 2021 Francisco Domínguez Robles and Balázs D. Kecskés have composed new pieces following the instumentation of Richard Strauss Serenade op.7. These pices will be analysed and rehearsed during our workshop and at end performed by Danubia Orchestra Óbuda as part of Liszt Festival.


The presentation ceremony of the 12th and 13th Frontier of Knowledge Awards will take place on September 21 in the Euskalduna Conference Centre, Bilbao. The evening before, the same center will be the venue for the gala concert in honor of laureates.


In cooperation with European Creative Academy and Ars Nova Ensemble we could be part of a contemporary music masterclass in Annecy, France.


Peter Eötvös has invited the world famous composer Georges Aperghis to be our next guest professor. The masterclass is planned for October 2021 at Budapest Music Center.

November-December 2020 - Mentoring concerts in 2020

The mentoring concerts are already announced by Danubia Orchestra Óbuda and Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra, the ticket sale has begun. We are very much looking forward to these events with mentee class of 2019 in Budapest and Pécs under the guidance of Peter Eötvös and Gregory Vajda.


Peter Eötvös Foundation has launched a Mentoring Program in 2018 and the first selected young composers and conductors will end their program with orchestra concerts in 2019. The foundation has a cooperation with Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra from Pécs and the Hungarian Radio Orchestra from Budapest.
